Why Gary’s our hero…
From its inception, Gary has been with Energy Haulage, firstly as a driver, to then progressing into the role of haulage manager where he is today. Gary has built a thriving business and not been afraid to go the ‘extra mile’ to ensure our clients are given the best delivery and service possible.
When the pandemic reared its ugly head last March, the world as we know it changed, not only on personal levels, but within the industry. Having the unfortunate task of furloughing staff, Gary found himself in the unenviable position of becoming the ‘Jack’ of all haulage trades, to which he rose to the task without an issue.
Having to source work for a fleet of 6 LGVs and having to run them with a skeleton staff was a challenge in itself, which he tackled head on. From driving to administration, meetings and so much more, he has kept the haulage business sustainable and under the hardest of economic climates, profitable.
His dedication to the Energy cause has been second to none, and his willingness to assist others regardless of his own struggles has been unwavering. Having nurtured the haulage business through the unknown over the last 14 months, the company is now flourishing again and with the brightest of futures. Although many hands do indeed make light work, without the constant efforts of this remarkable man, we wouldn’t be in the position we are today. A true Hero.
