Why Jenna and John are heroes…
Shortly after the start of the pandemic the coach industry ground to a halt and sadly, due to lack of support, many operators felt let down.
Jenna and John were determined that the coach industry should be heard and started to make as much noise as possible to ensure the wider public, media and government were aware of the plight of the industry.
Holding coach rallies, firstly at Light Water Valley, followed by Blackpool, London, Edinburgh, Bristol, Cardiff, Media City Manchester and London, Jenna and John managed to gain MP awareness and engagement more than ever before.
In fact, MP Emma Hardy has been recorded saying if it wasn’t for the sound of honking coach horns outside her London office and recognising one of her local operators, she would not have been aware of the dire situation facing the coach industry.
Due to John and Jenna’s perseverance, Emma has become the campaign lead for the coach industry within parliament. Following their determination for engagement they have now passed the baton to the RHA to carry on their work, known as the legacy of the ‘Honk for Hope’.
